Creativity Inc. - Book of the Week

Every week, we’ll pick a new book to be featured on Reading Stash as the book of the week. This book may be from any of our available categories (currently Business, Fantasy, Sci-Fi), and is a quality book that we feel readers should check out.

Our book of the week for this week is Creativity Inc.

Creativity, Inc. is a book for managers who want to lead their employees to new heights, a manual for anyone who strives for originality. It is also the first-ever, all-access trip into the nerve center of Pixar Animation Studios - into the story meetings, the postmortems, and the ‘Braintrust’ sessions where art is born.

Creativity, Inc. is, at heart, a book about how to build a creative culture—but it is also, as Pixar co-founder and president Ed Catmull writes, “an expression of the ideas that I believe make the best in us possible.”

Creativity Inc is a fantastic book that all entrepreneurs and startups should read on building a creative organization. Inspiration is one of the hardest things to develop - and Pixar is a stunning example of a creative and inspirational company.

Every week, we’ll pick a new book to be featured on Reading Stash as the book of the week. This book may be from any of our available categories (currently Business, Fantasy, Sci-Fi), and is a quality book that we feel readers should check out.

Our book of the week for this week (August 10th - August 17th) is the epic science fiction and fantasy novel Dune, by Frank Herbert.

Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Muad'Dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family–and would bring to fruition humankind’s most ancient and unattainable dream.

This is the first installment of the Dune saga, and in 2003 was cited as the world’s best-selling science fiction novel. It is a great read for all science-fiction and fantasy fans as well as those looking to get into the genre.

A new 50th Anniversary Edition of Dune has also been published this year - containing pages of fantastic and mesmerising artwork. For more information, check it out on the official Folio Society website. Dune may be 50 years old, but it is still a classic you should definitely read.

Agent to the Stars is a great read for Science Fiction fans and readers looking for a fun book. It’s our first Book of the Week, and we hope that you’ll check it out!
